Thermoslate ("we", "our", or "the app") is a recipe translation app developed by Muhammed Yusuf Kaya. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

2.1 Information You Provide
- Cookidoo Email & Password: Required to authenticate with the Cookidoo platform. These credentials are stored exclusively on your device using iOS Keychain and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers beyond what is necessary to perform the translation request.
- Recipe URLs: The Cookidoo recipe links you submit for translation.
2.2 Automatically Generated Data
- App User ID: A randomly generated anonymous identifier created on your device to track usage quotas and subscription status. This ID is not linked to your name, email, or any personally identifiable information.
- Translation Count: The number of translations performed, used to manage free and premium usage limits.
2.3 What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect your name, phone number, or address.
- We do not collect location data.
- We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA).
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not sell your data to third parties.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate with Cookidoo on your behalf and fetch recipe content.
- To translate recipe content using AI services (Google Gemini / OpenAI).
- To save translated recipes back to your Cookidoo account.
- To manage your free translation quota and Premium subscription status.
- To improve translation quality based on anonymised feedback.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to provide our functionality:
- Google Gemini / OpenAI: For AI-powered recipe translation. Recipe text content is sent to these services. Please refer to their respective privacy policies for details on data handling.
- RevenueCat: For managing in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat receives your anonymous App User ID and purchase information. See RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
- Google Cloud Run: Our backend API is hosted on Google Cloud. Data in transit is encrypted using TLS.
- Cookidoo (Vorwerk): The app interacts with the Cookidoo platform using your credentials. Your use of Cookidoo is subject to Vorwerk's own terms and privacy policy.
5. Data Storage & Security
- Your Cookidoo credentials are stored only on your device using iOS Keychain with hardware-backed encryption.
- Our backend stores only your anonymous App User ID and translation count — no personally identifiable information.
- All network communication uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.
- We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data.
6. Data Retention
Anonymous usage data (App User ID, translation count) is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us at thermoslateapp@gmail.com.
Your Cookidoo credentials are stored locally on your device and can be removed at any time through the app's Settings screen or by deleting the app.
7. Children's Privacy
Thermoslate is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your data:
- The right to access the data we hold about you.
- The right to request deletion of your data.
- The right to object to our processing of your data.
